Bonnettes Beach 400 meters from the campsite

Bonnettes du Pradet beach is a sandy beach about 150 meters long located in a cove protected from the winds with dense vegetation. Family beach labeled Blue Flag 2021, it is supervised in summer and provides shade throughout the day. On the left, taking the coastal path, there are two other small, quieter coves. The environment with cliffs is remarkable.

A car park is located near the beach (paying) on Chemin des Bonnettes. Only 400 meters from the campsite you can get there on foot or by bike. In westerly winds, this beach becomes a landmark for surfers. The Hermitage campsite offers stand-up paddle rental. These are XL models allowing you to go on family outings.

Monaco beach, one of the wildest on the coast

Monaco beach at Pradet is located to the west of the seaside resort. Composed of about 400 meters of sand surrounded by small coves, it is one of the wildest beaches on the Var coast. It offers a magnificent setting with its many pine trees along the beach. The right part is reserved for naturists. Parking (paid in season) is available on the heights at Pin de Galle.

To reach Monaco beach, take the coastal path (signposted) on the left for about 300 meters through the woods then descend to the right. Access is relatively difficult, it takes 10 minutes from the car park. It can also be accessed from Chemin des Bonnettes (parking lot larger than the previous one – also paying).

Paid parking in season, shower and toilet available, a first aid station in season. Access by any animal, even on a leash, is prohibited. (municipal decree of 01/22/2014).

The Pin de Galle Beach in the town of Pradet

Pin de Galle du Pradet beach is located at the end of rue du Général Weygand. Access to the beach can be done either by stairs on the left (quite steep but with stairs for breaks) or by a sloping path on the right. Note that the beach is narrow and the setting is very picturesque, we pass through small alleys with many huts before arriving on the beach. In summer you can enjoy a snack restaurant on the right.

The beach is made up of small pebbles with a fairly fast bottom, 150 M long. An exceptional and protected natural environment with free parking and WC. A first aid station in season from June 1 to August 31: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Access by any animal, even on a leash, is prohibited. (municipal decree of 01/22/2014).

Oursinières Beach, the ideal spot for windsurfing

It is a beach suitable for families with the 2021 Blue Flag label with sand and pebbles over 100 meters long. The bottom is sandy and rocky with an exceptional and protected natural environment. Free parking with WC and a first aid station in season. Bathing access mat for people with reduced mobility + “Tiralo” type amphibious chair available at the first aid station. Access by any animal, even on a leash, is prohibited. (municipal decree of 01/22/2014)

By Mistral, westerly wind, the wind blows back towards the beach, which gives up a good chop, even a few waves. The nautical club’s advice for windsurfers: climb well beyond 300m to take advantage of the fresh wind, which is turbulent near the coast because of the hills. If the wind blows North / North-West: it is a gusty wind and the navigation can be very technical. The other prevailing wind: the east wind. The wind blows “offshore” (pushes offshore). It is therefore very easy to leave, but very technical to come back!
